This year’s TCS Mini London Marathon had a bit of extra sparkle – thanks to our brilliant Bubble Bike!
Yep, it does exactly what it says on the tin: bubbles, blasting from a bike, weaving through a course full of young runners.

Bubbles and Brilliantly Big Smiles
If youâve ever stood at the sidelines of a race, youâll know the vibe: a mix of nerves and cheers. The Mini London Marathon is no different – except this time, thousands of bubbles joined the young athletes on the course!
Our Bubble Bike rolled in and within minutes, it was surrounded. Kids were chasing the bubbles. Parents were laughing. Spectators started filming. And more than a few runners paused mid-race to get a selfie.
When Small Interventions Make a Big Impact
The beauty of the Bubble Bike isnât its size or tech, itâs the reaction it sparks. One bike, a few litres of bubble solution, and suddenly you’ve created a shared moment.
Public spaces, especially during events, need that kind of moment. Something low-cost but high-reward. Something that makes people stop, smile, and connect.
At the Mini London Marathon, the Bubble Bike offered a unique sensory experience, adding something colourful, surprising, and genuinely joyful.

The Power of Shareable Moments
You know itâs landed well when people donât just enjoy it, they pull their phones out. Social media was quickly filled with clips of runners dodging (or dancing through) clouds of bubbles. The uploads were flying almost as fast as the kids.
Why does this matter? Because moments like these turn attendees into your ambassadors. No scripted marketing needed – theyâll do it for you, as long as you give them something worth sharing.
Thatâs why the Bubble Bike works so well. Itâs simple. It’s joyful. And it looks great on camera.
What the Bubble Bike and Event Placemaking
Whether youâre programming a high street, hosting a seasonal celebration, or just trying to get more footfall into a public space, the lessons are the same. People remember how places make them feel. Itâs not always about the big, expensive installations. Sometimes it’s the unexpected – like a Bubble Bike – that has the biggest impact.
When you create moments that engage the senses, encourage interaction and bring people together, youâre doing more than entertaining. Youâre strengthening the identity of a place. Youâre building a memory that draws people back.
Weâre not saying every event needs a Bubble Bike (although, honestly, more could use one!), but what we are saying is that playful, interactive experiences can do serious work when it comes to creating atmosphere, engagement, and community buzz.

A huge thank you to the TCS London Marathon for inviting us to be a part of such a memorable day, and congratulations to every young runner who took part in the race!
If this has sparked a few ideas, whether for a high street, park, or city centre, weâd love to hear from you. Whether itâs for a local event, a pop-up, or something a little more ambitious, weâd love to chat. Drop us a message and letâs make something brilliant together!
