Halloween in Putney turned into a true adventure this year with a little help from Bowerbirdy’s Ghostbusters. With the famous Ectomobile on display, our one-of-a-kind Ecto-2 bike, and activities from face painting to a lively ecto-egg hunt, we brought the ghostbusting spirit to life! Families, kids, and curious passersby joined in for an unforgettable day filled with laughs, frights, and eerie excitement.

A Happy Halloween in Putney!
Halloween is all about creating moments of fun and just the right amount of spookiness, so we set out to do exactly that for Positively Putney. Our Ghostbusters-themed event kicked off with the arrival of the Ectomobile, instantly pulling in a crowd with its lights and sirens. Seeing that famous car parked right there on the high street was a treat for fans young and old. Dressed head-to-toe in Ghostbusters gear, our team was ready for anything—and they quickly found themselves posing for photos as kids (and quite a few parents) lined up to get their own printed ID card to take home!
From Face Painting to Eggs Hunts
Of course, no Halloween event is complete without face painting, and we had kids transforming into ghouls, skeletons, and all kinds of creepy creatures, thanks to our talented face painters. The free face painting added a special spark to this Halloween in Putney and gave everyone the courage they needed to join our ghostbusting crew!
Our Ecto-2 bike was another favourite. It’s not every day you see a ghost-hunting bike cruising around, and this one had a job to do — hosting our ecto-egg hunt! We’d hidden ecto-eggs around the participating shops in Putney Exchange. Kids jumped right into the hunt, eagerly checking every corner for those neon eggs. Once they found one, they proudly brought it over to the back vault on the Ecto-2, safely locking away each ghostly find. The hunt kept kids on their toes and added a layer of surprise that felt perfectly Halloween.

What truly made Halloween in Putney special was the energy of everyone who joined in. From the kids showing off their painted faces to the families posing with our Ghostbusters team, it was clear everyone was having a blast. And those printed Ghostbusters ID cards became instant mementos that will be looked back on long after Halloween has passed.
It’s these moments — kids squealing over a freshly found ecto-egg, a crowd of faces lit up by the flashing lights of the Ectomobile, and the sheer excitement of being part of something bigger than an everyday outing — that make events like this so enjoyable to create.
