The streets of Watford recently transformed into a realm of enchantment and history with the Magical Maze – a 14-day event masterfully designed and executed by Bowerbirdy in collaboration with Watford Borough Council. This event, free to the public, ran from Saturday 29th May to Sunday 6th June, and was a soaring success, leaving a lasting impression on families and the local community.

Eustace II de Watford: The Heart of Our Story
Drawing from Watford’s rich history, we crafted an engaging story featuring Eustace II de Watford, a legendary knight lost for over 800 years, and his beloved wife, Margaret. Participants embarked on a thrilling quest within the Magical Maze, searching for the lost knight and recovering his precious items.
A Family Adventure Like No Other
Families entered the maze with a mission: to locate Eustace and gather his lost items. On successful completion, participants returned the items to a grateful Eustace, receiving a golden coin as a token of his appreciation.
Rewards and Memories to Cherish
Upon exiting the maze, each golden coin earned participants a special prize, along with a photo certificate commemorating their adventure. Additionally, entrants were included in a prize draw, with the lucky winner receiving an iPad.
